What is your bidding my Master?
It seems Publishers Weekly journalist Kai-Ming Cha has just reported in her blog that the Master, the one and only Hayao Miyazaki, the director of the such masterpieces as Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke, will be visiting the United States this July. Miyazaki is receiving the Berkeley Japan Prize for lifetime achievement, presented by the Center for Japanese Studies at UC Berkeley. The ceremony is set for July 25th. According to Cha, it seems, Miyazaki’s contract with Disney requires him to make a U.S. appearance. Well to that I say, “Welcome, My Master.”
Thanks to ANN for the heads up!
