Oh yeah, it is gonna get good!

You heard right. IESB has learned exclusively that Steven Spielberg is opting the project. Yes, HALO, the great first person shooter trilogy from Bungie & Microsoft.

According to IESB, Steven Spielberg is not only a huge gaming fan, but was blown away by writer Stuart Beattie’s (co-writer of GI Joe: Rise of Cobra) take on the game in his script entitled HALO THE FALL OF REACH. The script revolves around a soldier named John who was kidnapped at the age of 6, by the UNSC, & trained to become Master Chief 117. The story then shifts to the Covenant attack of the world of Harvest, where all other spartans are slaughtered.

Although all this is great news, the best is yet to come. It seems that there are outlines for the second & third movie. The second movie, HALO: RISE OF THE FLOOD, would take place entirely on the Halo ringworld, and the third and final movie, HALO: BATTLE FOR EARTH, would follow the events of Halo 3, the game.
