A few weeks ago it was reported that Warner Bros. and Mattel have decided to part ways in relation to the live action movie Masters of the Universe. Well, according to the Hollywood Reporter, it seems the project has found its home at Columbia Pictures. The biggest change to this project is that John Stevenson is no longer set to direct, yet no other director has been listed as replacement. We will keep you posted as this project progresses.
Masters of the Universe is often referred to as simply He-Man. He-Man was one of the most popular animated children’s shows of the 1980s. Masters of the Universe follows Prince Adam, whom with the power of his Power Sword turns into He-Man, who uses his powers to defend his home of Eternia from the evil forces of Skeletor. It is a remake of a 1987 movie of the same name starring Dolph Lundgren as He-Man and Frank Langella as Skeletor.
